Indiana State University
The Indiana State University dean's list for the spring semester has been announced. In order to be on the dean's list for academics, a student must earn a GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale. Area students making the list include: Ashley Giltz, Margaret Henretty and Kevin Pingsterhaus, Batesville; and Kristen Lowe, Versailles.
Wabash
College
John Moton and Devin Moss received Bachelor of Arts degrees from Wabash College May 17 during the 171st commencement exercise of 195 graduating seniors.
Moton, a political science major, is the son of Rosemary Moton, Batesville.
Moss, a psychology major, is the son of Cameron and Susan Moss, Oldenburg. He was one of 255 spring semester Dean’s List students who maintained a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 point scale.
Manchester
College
Megan Caudill, Batesville, received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and management May 24 from Manchester College. She is a Jac-Cen-Del Junior-Senior High School graduate.
University of Southern Indiana
University of Southern Indiana spring semester honor students have been announced. Over 1,800 students were named to the latest Honors List, including Benjamin Hamm, Batesville; Rachel Pruss, Milan; Tyler Bradshaw and Brent Pettit, Osgood; and Megan Ertel, Sunman.
Students must achieve a 3.5 or better grade point average on 4.0 system to be recognized.
Centre College
Three area students received bachelor's degrees from Centre College, Ky..
Benjamin Cooley graduated magna cum laude with a degree in religion. The Batesville High School graduate and son of Ted and Kathy Cooley, Batesville, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa National Honorary Society. Dana Smith graduated magna cum laude with a degree in history. She was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha national government honor society. The Batesville High School graduate is the daughter of Jack and Pixie Smith, Batesville.
Becky Lindhorst earned degrees in biochemistry, molecular biology and Spanish. The Mount Healthy High School graduate is the daughter of Frank and Jennifer Lindhorst, Milan.

Area residents can be a part of the 10th anniversary production of “On Our Way,” a musical written by Scott Billingsley and Bill Blank, Batesville, and Alan Billingsley, Los Angeles.

The musical “Once Upon a Mattress,” presented by the Batesville High School Drama Club and BHS Music Department, is slated for Friday-Saturday, April 13-14, at 7 p.m. in the BHS auditorium.
