After a tough battle with East Central to win the sectional title, the Batesville High School girls soccer team had to bounce back one night later for the regional round.
The good news it was a home match and being played against a team they defeated with relative ease earlier in the season.
The Lady Bulldogs struggled to score early, but went on to defeat Centerville 3-1 for the regional title.
Katie Thomas seemed to have all the time she needed and buried the ball in the top right corner of the net to put the Lady Bulldogs in front 1-0.
Maddie Lambert gave Batesville a little breathing room when she scored off an assist by Riley Gratz.
The Lady Bulldogs went up 3-0 at the 9:13 mark in the second half on a second goal by Thomas. Gratz picked up her second assist of the night.
The lone Centerville goal came as time was running out. Elsie Honkomp scored with :03 remaining to cut the final deficit to two goals.
The Lady Bulldogs (17-0-3) advanced to the first round of the North Central Semistate, which will be played on Saturday. The opponent will be Cathedral (15-4-2) and the match is scheduled to begin at noon.
The winner will play in the championship on the same night at 8 p.m. against the winner of Brownsburg and Zionsville.
