Village draws a crowd

Happy times: Nancy Flannery (left), Batesville, wearing a dirndl, and her husband, Jake (right), in platterhosen, are joined by lederhosen-clad Karen Enneking, Oldenburg, prior to the German costume contest Saturday afternoon at Freudenfest.
