— The Batesville High School varsity volleyball team was quite convincing Tuesday night at home against Franklin County.
The Lady Bulldogs dominated all facets and it was reflected in a 25-11, 25-12 and 25-10 victory.
Morgan Dreyer racked up 15 service points and shared team-high honors with 11 assists. Chelsey Paul led the back row play with 17 digs, while Bailey Baumer led the attack with 12 kills. Anna Meyer made it tough on FC attackers and finished with four blocks.
The Lady Bulldogs are now 16-7 overall and 4-2 in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference.
The Batesville junior varsity was also impressive in a 25-21 and 25-12 win over the Lady Wildcats.
Sydney Strickland and Monica Bedel each had three kills, while Josie Heidlage had a pair of blocks to lead the team at the net. Sophia Fledderman had the hot hand serving and finished with 14 points. Bedel was second on the team with eight service points.
Lady Bulldogs at Greenfield
The Lady Bulldogs went 2-2 at the Greenfield-Central Cougar Challenge.
Dreyer and Baumer led the way and were named to the 12-player all-tournament team, according to coach Jody Thomas.
Victories for the Lady Bulldogs came against Whiteland and Mt. Vernon (Fortville), while losses were to Daleville and Franklin.
