The East Central Trojans are now winners of their last four games and six of the last seven, including the key conference win over the Batesville Bulldogs on Feb. 9.
If you look even deeper, the Trojans have won 10 of their last 12.
The most recent victory was a convincing 82-51 win over the visiting Franklin County Wildcats on Saturday.
The Trojans jumped out to a 20-15 lead after the first eight minutes and set the tone for the rest of the way with 19-5 run in the second. The first half ended with East Central in front 39-20.
After a relatively even third quarter, the Trojans poured in 26 points in the fourth to secure the victory.
Payton Stonefield led the Trojans with 20 points and seven assists. Howie Backherms had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The Wildcats were led in scoring by Zach Sizemore with 12 points and Brett Ortman with 11.
