Batesville will be the host site for three upcoming Babe Ruth tournaments.

On July 9, the 14-year-old district tournament will be held. Seven teams from District 2 will participate to move on to the semistate tournament.

The third tournament will begin July 16.The 13-year-old regional competition will take place as nine teams will be involved with the tournament.

"This is a very ambitious undertaking for the league. We have held individual tournaments in the past but never three consecutive weekends,” commented Grant Griffith. “This is a big challenge and we are hoping that parents who could not fulfill their volunteer slots during the regular league games, will help us out with the tournament.”

Anyone interest in volunteering to held during one of the three tournament should contact Linda Casablanca at 212-0648 or Mike Robertson at 212-2466.
