Batesville will be the host site for three upcoming Babe Ruth tournaments.
Beginning Friday, July 3, and lasting though July 5, balls will be flying around the diamond at Batesville High School.
The 12 year old district tournament will be held with four teams from District 2 poarticipating in the series.
On July 9, the 14 year old district tournament will be held. Seven teams from District 2 will participate to move on to the semistate tournament.
The third tournemant will begin July 16.The 13 year old regional competition will take place as 9 teams will be involved with the tournament.
"This is a very ambitious undertaking for the league. We have held individual tournaments in the past but never three consecutive weekends,” commented Grant Griffith. “This is a big challenge and we are hoping that parents who could not fulfill their volunteer slots during the regular league games, will help us out with the tournament.”
