The Oldenburg Academy Twisters were defeated 45-24 by the Trinity Lutheran Cougars on Friday.
The Twisters gave up only three points in the first quarter, but still lost ground. The first quarter ended with Trinity in front 3-0.
The game continued to be a defensive battle in the second quarter. Oldenburg managed only four points and held Trinity to seven. Peter Lamping and Jon Drew each hit OA field goals in the quarter.
The Cougars broke the game open in the third by outscoring OA 18-9.
Drew finished with a team-high eight points for the Twisters.
The Twisters fall to 4-15 on the season, while the win bumps Trinity to 7-12.
