The Bulldogs suffered a 58-12 loss to the Connersville Spartans, Victories for the second-place Bulldogs came against Centerville (58-21), Rushville (46-34) and Tri (70-3).

“Connersville is a very good team and they proved that again on Saturday,” BHS coach Mick Reindorf commented. “They will be the favorite to win our sectional.”

The Bulldogs have two wrestlers undefeated to this point in the season – both posted 4-0 records at Rushville.

“Jarett is off to an unbelievable start,” Reindorf commented. “He has recorded a pin in every match this season, but one ... that was a win by forfeit.”

Moody pinned a pair of opponents and was credited with eight takedowns in his four victories.

“John has great strength for a 106-pounder and wrestles with a lot of intensity,” Reindorf commented. “He works hard in practice and in the weight room.”

Ben Westerfeld (126-lbs) moved to 14-1 on the season with three victories, including one pin and five takedowns.

Zach Mears (132-lbs), Matthew Linkel (160-lbs) and Will Amberger (170-lbs) were also 3-1 on the day.
