The East Central High School varsity basketball team made short work of Dearborn County rival South Dearborn on Friday night.
The visiting Trojans posted a 62-32 win over the Knights.
An 18-point first quarter was followed with 22 more in the second as the EC lead reached 40-14 at halftime.
The margin was more than enough for the Trojans. They went on to score 11 points in each of the final two quarters to help preserve the victory.
Three players scored in double figures for coach David Disbro. Mitchell Baker led the way with 16 points followed by Howie Backherms and Cody Hudepohl with 12 apiece.
Backherms grabbed a team-best six rebounds, while Payton Stonefield dished out five assists.
The Trojans were defeated 55-43 by the Richmond Red Devils one night later.
The Trojans are now 1-2 on the season.
