BATESVILLE —
Oldenburg Academy of the Immaculate Conception has hired Ryan Brammer as the new athletic director for the 2012-13 school year.
Brammer is a 2001 graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in social studies and an endorsement in computer education.
“I am very excited about this great opportunity to serve as athletic director at OA,” said Brammer. “The strong belief and backing by the school’s leadership of Sr. Gillman and principal Rose of athletics educating the whole person is a great environment for any coach or student athlete to be in.
“I look forward to working with the coaches and student athletes on a day to day basis,” he added.
Brammer’s experience includes 11 years at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis, where he served as an Information and media service teacher, head coach of boys and girls golf, department chair, and assistant athletic director.
As head coach of Brebeuf Jesuit boys golf, Brammer obtained an 82-8 win/loss match record. He also guided the team to three consecutive years as Marion County champions as well as 2010 and 2011 back-to-back state championships.
In his free time, Brammer enjoys spending time with his wife, Carissa, who is a second grade teacher and softball coach at Charles A. Beard Schools in Knightstown.
