St. Louis group participates in vigil

Dear Editor,

On Saturday, Oct. 27, near the end of the 40 Days for Life fall 2012 campaign, 24 adults and 20 youth and children from St. Louis Parish participated in a peaceful, prayerful vigil at the Planned Parenthood facility in Cincinnati.

Thanks to all those from St. Louis Parish who gave of their time to pray this year during our eighth campaign involvement.

Forty Day for Life is a national campaign, started in 2004 in College Station, Texas, going national in 2007. What an amazing 40-day journey we have had, as persons in 316 cities all across the United States in 49 states plus the District of Columbia, plus seven Canadian provinces, England, Spain, Australia and, for the first time, Uganda have been praying, fasting, standing vigil and conducting outreach to end abortion.

The fall campaign started Sept. 26 and ends Nov. 4. In its first 36 days, 554 babies that we know of have been saved from abortion. Since the start of the campaigns, over 6,000 babies have been saved, more than half a million people have participated, over 14,000 churches have participated and 25 abortion facilities have closed.

For more information on how to get involved, persons may log on at www.40days forlife.com.
