Oda Vogt, 82

— Oda Vogt, 82, Batesville, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at St. Andrews Health Campus.

Born Dec. 23, 1929, in Barbourville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Lee and Eller (Smith) Broughton. On Jan. 9, 1945, in Newport, Ky., she married Melvin Vogt, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1999.

The Adams Lutheran Church member was a cook at the former Feltz’s Restaurant for 18 years and later cleaned for Forethought.

Survivors include daughter Beverly (Francis) Lamping, Oldenburg; sons Harold (Wanda) Vogt, Raymond Vogt and Jerry (Glenda) Vogt, Batesville, Larry Vogt, Indianapolis, and Robert Vogt, Loveland, Ohio; sister Delora Lawrence; brothers Charlie, Jim, Carl, Buford and Randall Broughton; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters Viola Mills and Josie Roope and brothers Russell, Bill and Leroy Broughton.

Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 5-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home. The service, officiated by Pastor Roger Tornes, is Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. at Adams Lutheran Church. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery or the Alzheimer’s Association.
