Betty Lou Roberts, 85

— Betty Lou Roberts, 85, Batesville, formerly of Greensburg, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at her residence.

The daughter of George William and Ola May (Alexander) Bausback was born June 27, 1927, in Decatur County.  The 1945 Greensburg High School graduate was part owner, secretary and treasurer of Standard Fertilizer for many years.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Sunman, as well as a founding member of Grace Lutheran Church, Greensburg.  

She married Wilbur Roberts Aug. 27, 1945, in Auburn, and he survives at home.

Betty is also survived by one daughter: Bonnie Holzbacher,  Batesville; one son: Sheldon (Dianna) Roberts, Greensburg; one sister: Dorothy (Eddie) Howard, Greensburg; and two sisters-in-law: Esther Bausback and Ruby Roberts.

Five grandchildren, Teresa Holzbacher-Heilman, Tammy Fancher, Sheldon “Joey” Roberts Jr., Kristie Roberts and Shannon Nugent, and nine great-grandchildren also survive.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Omer, Francis and Emerson “Gene” Bausback; and one sister: Delores Joyner.

Friends may call at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg, Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery, Greensburg.
