Bobby Lee Smith, 80

BATESVILLE — Bobby Lee Smith, 80, Trenton, Ohio, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in Magnolia, Texas.  

He was born on Dec. 1, 1931, in Odessa, Texas, the son of the late James Melvin and Sophia (Nance) Smith.

Bobby was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired pipefitter for Local Union 392. On Dec. 22, 1973, he married Virginia “Jenny” (Neal) Smith in Hamilton, Ohio.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 38 years; six children: Lynda (Steve) Milbourne, Debbie (Phil) Trueblood, Teresa (Jamie) Gunckel, James (Bessie) Smith, John (Stacey) Smith and Michael Smith; 10 grandchildren: Adam, Lauren, Jacob, Macey, Brittany, Carly, Shawn, Michelle, Rachel and Victoria; three great-grandchildren: Anna, Izabelle and Addison; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He was also preceded in death by his three brothers; and one sister.

Visitation was Saturday, Nov. 10, with the Rev. Jim Neal officiating at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Hamilton, Ohio. Graveside services followed at Rose Hill Burial Park.
