Dorothy C. Stegemiller, 88

— Dorothy C. Stegemiller, 88, Sunman, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at The Waters of Batesville.  

The daughter of Frank Weiler and Mary Zinser was born Sept. 29, 1924, in Franklin County.   

She married Alvin Stegemiller May 11, 1957, and he preceded her in death Jan. 31, 2009.  

The St. Pius Catholic Church member was formerly employed at Fisher Body, Cincinnati.  She was a housewife and loving mother who enjoyed watching her children’s activities.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Stegemiller, Indianapolis, and Ann and her husband, Louis Roell, Batesville; sons Mark and his wife, Heidi Stegemiller, Franklin, Ohio, and Neal and his wife, Jean Stegemiller, Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; sisters Roberta Beyer, Shelbyville, and Marian Weiler, Cincinnati; brothers Vincent Weiler, Sunman, and Jerome Weiler, Batesville.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Stegemiller; three sisters; and four brothers.

After a 3:30 p.m. rosary service, friends may visit with Dorothy’s family Sunday, March 10, from 4-8 p.m.  The Rev. Frank Eckstein will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 11, at St. Pius Catholic Church, Sunman, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
