William “Bill” Bohannon, 67

William “Bill” Bohannon, 67, Coloma, Mich., died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, in St. Joseph, Mich.

The son of the late Ted and Genevieve Schuck was born in Detroit Feb. 22, 1942.

The 1961 Batesville High School graduate served in the U.S. Army from 1962-65. While stationed in France, he met and married his wife of 43 years, Maryvonne (Auger) Bohannon, who survives. The Coloma Lions Club and 3rd & 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member had been employed with Whirlpool Corp., Clark Equipment Co., Heath Zenith and, most recently, Four Winds Casino.

Other survivors are two sons: Manuel Bohannon, Paw Paw, Mich., and William Bohannon, Battle Creek, Mich.; two daughters: Valerie Krieger, Coloma, Mich., and Corinne Tucker, Eagle River, Alaska; two sisters: Pat Noah, Brookville, and Peg Hixon, Pavillion, Wyo.; and nine grandchildren: William, Bradley, Jack, Morgan and Danielle Bohannon, Kathleen and Kyra Krieger and Bailey and Logan Tucker.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Watervliet, Mich. Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Coloma, Mich., is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
