Catherine R. Sherman, 45
Catherine R. Sherman, 45, Greensburg, died Tuesday Dec. 1, 2009, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility, Columbus.
The daughter of Donald and Anna Marie (Thompson) Schwering was born Dec. 28, 1963, in Decatur County. She worked for Marsh Supermarket for 28 years and was the office manager for 10 years. Sherman also worked at Dairy Point for two years.
Survivors include her parents, Greensburg; two sons: Jeremy and Dustin Sherman, Greensburg; a daughter: Amanda Sherman, Greensburg; five sisters: Cindy Schlarb, Greensburg, Carolyn Roszell and Jenny Friend, Westport, Monica Gunter, Batesville, and Becky Wagenblast, Jarvis Ontario, Canada; four brothers: John and Ben Schwering, Greensburg, Joe Schwering Osgood, and Robert Schwering Milford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister: Kim Schwering.
Visitation is Sunday, Dec. 6, from 2-8 p.m. at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg. The 10 a.m. funeral officiated by Monsignor Harold Knueven is Monday Dec. 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greensburg. Burial is at the church cemetery.
