Jeffrey Dale Jordan, 50


Jeffrey Dale Jordan, 50, Batesville, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital.

He was born to Ross and Maryanne (Farley) Jordan Sept. 4, 1959, in Kokomo. On April 17, 1986, he married Marilyn (Shriver) Jordan at Butler University.

The 1978 Northwestern High School, Kokomo, graduate was active in track and the performing arts there. An art teacher encouraged him to attend art school, but when he began working in a pharmacy as a junior, Jordan chose that path. The Phi Delta Chi member earned a pharmacy degree from Butler University in 1983 and his doctorate from Shenandoah University in 2003. Jordan worked as a pharmacist for Hooks in Illinois, then for Rite Aid, CVS and Kroger, Batesville. The family man and his wife liked to travel, most recently to Alaska. He enjoyed their lake home and spending time boating.

Surviving are his wife; his parents, Kokomo; four daughters: Rachel Dwenger, Sentry, Ala., Sarah Blaum, Batesville, Abbey Blaum, Greensburg, and Emily Rowland, Greenwood; a son: Ross Jordan III, Batesville; two brothers: Steven Jordan, Mooresville, and Brian Jordan, Guam; five grandchildren: Miles, Riley and Regan Dwenger and Clara and Zoe Peters.

Visitation is Monday, Nov. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Rogers will officiate the funeral there Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. Burial is at the Batesville United Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
