Donald R. Bower, 75
Donald R. Bower, 75, Greensburg, died at Major Hospital, Shelbyville, Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009.
The son of the late James and Alberta (Smith) Bower was born July 3, 1934, in Greensburg. On Sept. 30, 1956, he married Margaret (Rutherford) Bower, who preceded him in death.
The U.S. Army veteran had worked in the parts department at Kocher Ford, Greensburg; Mahan Ford, Columbus; then for 21 years at Shirks, Greensburg, where he was the parts manager. Bower was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Greensburg.
Survivors include a son: Kevin Bower, Oldenburg; a daughter: Susan Murray, Greensburg; a brother: Larry Bower, Greensburg; a sister: Vivian “Joann” Brown, Greensburg; four grandchildren: Joshua and Jessica Bower, Kimberly Meyer and Morgan Murray.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 27, from 4-7 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg. The funeral is there at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, with the Rev. Keith Dover officiating. Interment is in South Park Cemetery, Greensburg.
