Joan Haessig, 76, Milan, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital.
The daughter of the late Paul and Martha (Freeman) Mosier was born in Winchester April 25, 1933. On Oct. 30, 1962, she married Robert Haessig, who survives.
The homemaker worked with her husband at Haessig Market.
Also surviving are a son: Steve Ashcraft, Guilford; three daughters: Shannon Evans, Lawrenceburg, Gretchen Berger, Milan, and Andrea Haessig, Bellevue, Ky.; a sister: Marsha Mosier, Rising Sun; six grandchildren: Shaun Ashcraft, Mindy Rielman, Jim Beard and Joe, Josh and Jessica Berger; and one great-grandchild: Payton Beard.
Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 10-11 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, Sunman.
The funeral officiated by Martha DeHoff takes place there afterwards. Burial is at St. Paul Methodist Church Cemetery, Sunman.
Memorials may be given to the Sunman Rural Fire Department or Sunman Life Squad.
