Nora Lee Flannery, 88

Nora Lee Flannery, 88, New Point, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati.

The daughter of the late Dee and Effie Crouch was born March 22, 1921, in Salt Lick, Ky. On May 29, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio, she married Ben Flannery, who preceded her in death April 24, 1999.

The homemaker was a New Point Baptist Church member.

Surviving are four sons: Danny Flannery, Moores Hill, Jerry Flannery, Batesville, Mike Flannery, New Point, and Thomas Flannery, Greensburg; three daughters: Janet Dole, Frostproof, Fla., Kathy Amburgey, Batesville, and Pamela Hunter, Greensburg; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Flannery also was preceded in death by three sons: Donald, James and Larry Flannery; three sisters and four brothers.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, Sunman. The Revs. Troy Caudill and Jacob Flannery will officiate the funeral there Thursday, Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m. Burial is at St. Paul Cemetery, Sunman. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
