Dr. Andrew Zupan, 50

— Dr. Andrew Zupan, 50, Wildwood, Mo., passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.

He was the beloved husband of Lori Zupan; loving father of Sydney, Matthew and Caroline Zupan; son of Janez and Maria Zupan; brother of Mark Zupan; brother-in-law of Mark Loeb and Kathy Williamson; uncle of Ben Loeb, Kendall and Barclay Williamson and Will and Walker Zupan; and a dear nephew, cousin, godfather and friend to many.

Andy was born Sept. 25, 1962, in Rochester, N.Y., and grew up in Columbus, Ohio. After  graduating from Bishop Watterson High School, he completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University, St. Louis, and earned an M.D./Ph.D. from its School of Medicine.

He completed his residency in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Andy practiced pediatrics first in Batesville, and later in Washington and St. Peters, Mo., and he dearly loved the children and families for whom he cared.

Visitation and a memorial service were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ballwin, Mo., Monday, Feb. 18. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders or Heritage Classical Christian Academy. Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, Ballwin, Mo., handled arrangements.
