Joseph Daniel Schneider, 8 months

— Joseph Daniel Schneider, 8 months, son of Amanda Danielle (Jones) and Kevin Scott Schneider, Cincinnati, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Joseph was born in Lawrenceburg June 13, 2012.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by a sister, Kayleigh Nicole Schneider, Cincinnati; grandparents Dan and Debra Jones, Cincinnati, and Carl and Denise Schneider, Sunman; great-grandmothers Ruth Jones and Twyla Chapman, Rising Sun, and Dorothy Steinmetz, New Alsace; uncles Daniel Jones and partner Jonathan Davidson, Philip Schneider (Katy Mobley), Roger Schneider (Becky Grieshop) and Martin Schneider (Shannon); aunt Jennifer McMillin (Matt); and several cousins and other family members.

Joseph was preceded in death by great-grandfathers Raymond Jones, Jerry Chapman and Eugene Steinmetz and great-great-grandmother Mary Waller.

Friends are invited to call Friday, March 8, from 4-7 p.m. at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Brookville, at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, with Father Humbert Moster officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph D. Schneider Benefit Fund. Cards are available at the funeral home.
