-- — Christopher John Hussey, 50, Indianapolis, and formerly of Batesville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012.
Chris was born April 28, 1962, in Biddeford, Maine, to Peter and Kathryn Hussey.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1984 and his MBA from Duke University in 2001. He married his love, Sheila Logan, July 20, 1985.
Chris served his country as a U.S. Navy submarine officer from 1984-89. He was a former Hill-Rom Holdings employee. Currently, he and his wife owned and operated their own business, The Interface Financial Group. Chris was generous in sharing his time with others. He coached and served as a referee for youth soccer for many years. He enjoyed running marathons, cycling, sailing and loved attending sporting events with his son. Chris was a devoted Christian and an active member of St. Simon parish.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 27 years; their son Andrew Patrick Hussey; his parents; siblings Letitia (Tom) Beauregard, Thomas (Dianne) Hussey and Sarah (Mark) Ryan; in-laws Patrick and Sharon Logan; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by his son Bradford Logan Hussey.
Visitation is Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 4-7 p.m. at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Simon Catholic Church, Indianapolis, with good friend Father Pat officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to The Legacy Foundation, Jay Ruckelshaus, c/o Huntington Bank, 300 N. Illinois St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.
