Evelyn Lillian Stille, 87

— Evelyn Lillian Stille, 87, Batesville, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Kindred Traditional Care and Rehabilitation, Carmel.

The daughter of the late Elmer and Marcella (Bosse) Gessel was born Dec. 20, 1925, in Batesville.  She married Bruce Stille Aug. 22, 1946, in Kentucky and he preceded her in death Sept. 6, 1985.  

She retired from Kroger after many years.

Evelyn, a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Huntersville, is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Darrell) Mowery, Indianapolis; and sons Donald (Ramona) Stille, Grand Rapids, Mich., and David (Nellie Yoho) Stille, Bloomington.  She will also be missed by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Kingsley.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, from 4-7 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Monday, March 11, at 11 a.m. there with the Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
