Dennis Clifford Bischoff, 56

— Dennis Clifford Bischoff, 56, St. Leon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.  

He was born Feb. 24, 1956, to George and Ruth (Alig) Bischoff.  

He married Sandra Wiedeman Aug. 27, 1977, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Penntown, and she survives.  

He graduated from Southern Ohio Business College and, while still in school, was employed at Kroger as a meat cutter. He had also worked for Farm Bureau Insurance and Wendy’s before he found his true calling as a real estate agent at Bischoff Realty.

Dennis was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and Harrison (Ohio) Rotary, and was very active in the Southeastern Indiana Board of Realtors. He enjoyed spending time with Sandra and their Mini Memory Keeper Business, and playing cards.  He was often seen on the sidelines at his grandchildren’s sporting events, cheering them on and loved spending time taking walks with the grandkids. Dennis was a people person who never met a stranger.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife; daughter Erin (Jeff) Bond, St. Leon; son Brandon (fiancée  Danielle Clark) Bischoff, Harrison, Ohio; grandchildren Ryan, Sammy, Ben and Claire Bond; brother Clifford (Mary Grace) Bischoff, St. Leon; mother-in-law Janet Wiedeman, Sunman; sisters and brothers-in-law Sherry and Darell Burns, Indianapolis, Scott and Shele Wiedeman, Sunman, and Stan and Kim Wiedeman, Batesville; and many nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Alvin “Bud” Wiedeman.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 4-8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, Sunman, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at St. John’s United Church of Christ. The Rev. Lynne Busch will officiate the funeral services there beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for memorials to be determined later.
