Gov.-elect Mike Pence and incoming first lady Karen Pence are inviting Hoosiers to register online for Jan. 12-14 inaugural events.
“We’re thrilled at the enthusiasm Hoosiers are showing for the inaugural events through online registration,” she said. “With the largest hotel ballroom in the Midwest, we look forward to welcoming as many people as possible.”
A free Family Fun Day is Saturday, Jan. 12, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Dallara IndyCar Factory, 1201 Main St., Speedway.
The black tie optional Inaugural Ball Dinner and Dance is that night from 7-11 p.m. at the JW Marriott, 10 S. West St., Indianapolis. The cost is $150 per couple or $75 per person.
A free Inaugural Praise and Worship Service is slated for Sunday, Jan. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis.
The free inauguration ceremony takes place Monday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the
Indiana Statehouse, 200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis.
Attendees of all inaugural events are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items, which will be donated to the Midwest Food Bank.
Hoosiers interested in attending any of the events are asked to register at www.indianaworks.eventbrite.com. Tickets are still available on a first-come, first-serve basis for the Inaugural Ball Dinner and Dance through Jan. 4.
