BATESVILLE —
The Deanery Mass with Archbishop Joseph Tobin of the Indianapolis Archdiocese was celebrated on Tuesday evening Feb. 17, at St. Louis Church in Batesville.
St. Louis, which is the largest of 24 parishes comprising the Batesville Deanery of the Indianapolis Archdiocese, hosted the event with approximately 400 parishioners from throughout the Deanery attending. The 30 member choir directed by Sunny Calvert was comprised of participants also from throughout the Deanery.
A reception was held following the Mass in the St. Louis Activity Center where Archbishop Tobin greeted everyone who attended. Refreshments of home baked cookies, coffee and lemonade where served by the members of the Parish Life Committee, according to member Linda Siefert.
