Free admission to Indy attractions


Families without a lot of money can still have festive times this month.

The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association has organized the 12 Free Days of Christmas.

From Dec. 13-24, these Indianapolis attractions will offer free admission:

Sunday, Dec. 13, Music & Lights in Indy: 2:30 p.m., holiday music concert presented by the Logansport Children's Choirat the Indianapolis Artsgarden; 3 p.m., Scottish Rite Cathedral building tour, concert featuring the Scottish Rite chorus, orchestra and cathedral organ (one of the largest theater organs in the city of Indianapolis) and free refreshments and parking in the lot west of the cathedral off North Street; 7 p.m., New World Youth Orchestra performs at the Artsgarden

Monday, Dec. 14, Rhythm! Discovery Center

Tuesday, Dec. 15, Indy Wine Trail tastings and free desserts with entrée purchases at select restaurants

Wednesday, Dec. 16, Morris-Butler House, James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home, Meredith Nicholson Home

Thursday, Dec. 17, Indianapolis Museum of Art, J.K. Lilly Jr. House and Winter Solstice

Friday, Dec. 18, NCAA Hall of Champions

Saturday, Dec. 19, Conner Prairie Interactive History Park, Indiana Medical History Museum, Indianapolis Artsgarden concert

Sunday, Dec. 20, President Benjamin Harrison Home

Monday, Dec. 21, Indiana State Museum's Celebration Crossing
