A woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Franklin County Sunday, May 24, at 7:55 p.m., according to a Franklin County Sheriff’s Department news release.
Mandy Harvey, 30, Galloway, Ohio, was attempting to climb an embankment at Haspin Acres, located at 21208 Laurel Road, when her 1991 Jeep rolled over, said county Deputy Brad Lecher, the investigating officer.
Her passenger, Cheri Wasserstrom, 37, Columbus, Ohio, “was partially ejected and pinned” under the vehicle.
Wasserstrom was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office. Harvey was not injured.
Deputy Donald Speckman, Laurel Police Chief Bradley Spurlock, Indiana Conservation Officers Travis Wooley and John Pace and Laurel fire and EMS volunteers assisted after the accident.
