Kids, teens, women, men and active older adults in Ripley, Franklin, Decatur, Dearborn, Switzerland and Ohio counties are invited to join in “Smilin’, Sweatin’ and Shakin’ for Safe Passage and New Directions,” a Zumbathon® charity event, Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Greensburg Elementary School. Tickets are $15 in advance from local instructors and $20 at the door.
Organizer Laura Ault explains, “A Zumbathon® event is a Zumba® fitness class dance party to benefit a charitable organization. Safe Passage Inc. and New Directions provide intervention services to victims of domestic violence that facilitate healing, independence and empowerment. They also provide domestic violence prevention and education programs that promote a safe, nurturing environment in this area. All services, both residential and outreach, are free and confidential.”
