Farmers to be saluted at breakfast

— Each February, American Farm Bureau celebrates Food Check-Out Day, a salute to the American farmer for producing the safest, most abundant and economical food supply in the world.  

Franklin County Farm Bureau invites area residents to a complimentary breakfast Thursday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 823 Franklin Ave., Brookville. Isabella Chism, Indiana Farm Bureau second vice president, will present a short program on how important agriculture is to the community and economy.  RSVP by Feb. 22: 765-647-5649 or rbommer@heavenwire.net.  

Annette Willhelm, Brookville/Franklin County Chamber of Commerce office manager, notes, “Our community salutes and supports our farmers.”
