Batesville trio accused of dealing drugs

-- — “The continued effort of law enforcement agencies working together has resulted in the arrest of three more suspected drug dealers,” said Batesville Chief Stan Holt.

On Thursday, Aug. 23, officers from the Batesville Police Department, Indiana State Police and U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Batesville residents Alex Grimsley, 23; Natasha Ward, 24; and Sean Ryan, 22, on felony drug dealing charges, according to a release from Holt.

The charges were filed by Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel, who is working closely with law enforcement on these investigations, Holt said.

Grimsley was arrested for two counts of dealing in a Schedule I, II or III controlled substance, a Class B felony.

Ward was arrested for one count of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Class B felony.

Ryan was arrested for one count of dealing in a Schedule I, II or III controlled substance, a Class B felony; and one count of dealing in marijuana, a Class D felony.

All three are being held in the Ripley County Jail, Versailles.
