-- — Three more suspected drug dealers have been taken off Batesville streets by law enforcement authorities, reported Batesville Police Department Chief Stan Holt.
BPD officers, Indiana State Police and U.S. Marshals Task Force members spent the day Wednesday, Sept. 5, rounding up the suspects.
Batesville residents Ashley Gorsuch, 24, Jeremy Fishback, 19, and Kirk Gibbons, 27, were arrested.
Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel charged Gorsuch with two counts of dealing in heroin, Class A felonies. Fishback was charged with two counts of dealing in heroin, Class B felonies. Gibbons was charged with one count of dealing in marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor. Gorsuch and Gibbons were both apprehended in Batesville.
Fishback was located in Muncie, where Ball State University authorities assisted in taking him into custody.
All three are being held in the Ripley County Jail.
Holt emphasized, “Law enforcement will continue to aggressively pursue the drug dealers in our community. These drug investigations are ongoing, and more arrests will be made.”
