Social Media Workshop here Tuesday

-- — The Southeast Indiana Small Business Development Center and Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a Social Media Workshop Tuesday, April 26, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Batesville Memorial Public Library. There will be two sessions guiding anywhere from beginning to the more advanced social media users.

SISBDC regional director Blayr Barnard will provide instruction on Facebook (personal and business), LinkedIn (personal), Twitter (business), social media management tools, integration of profiles, statistics for your business, tips and privacy and policies.

Pamela Cotton of Mindful Resilience Consulting notes,“The social networking class by SBDC was excellent. I learned a method of marketing my business that is minimal cost. Blayr Barnard’s presentation was clear, knowledgeable and thorough.”

The all-day session for beginner and advanced users costs $50. The cost for a second attendee with a shared computer is $20.

Advanced users who take the afternoon session from noon-5 p.m. will pay $30. This is for clients who have entirely set up Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.

Workshop participants will leave with four major social media sites to market their businesses, as well as an understanding of how each interrelates to their business marketing strategy. The biggest advantage to this workshop is that the instructor will teach how to manage an entire social media presence spending only 30 minutes once a week.

To register, persons may go to www.seisbdc.org, click on Upcoming Workshops and scroll down to find Batesville or call 812-952-9765.
