Trojans lose to Harrison

The East Central Trojans and Harrison Wildcats squared off Friday night at Trojan Field in St. Leon.

Anytime these two teams take the field it will be entertaining.

And this was not any different.

Ross Cable intercepted a Jake Meiners pass and returned it to the East Central five yard line to set up the Wildcats’ second touchdown.

Ross carried the ball three consecutive times with the final time going for two yards. Randy Doss converted his second extra point attempt to give Harrison a 14-0 advantage.

The Trojans countered on their first possession of the second half. Meiners hit Zach Bley on a 10 yard pass play with 6:09 remaining in the third period. Jesse Caldwell’s extra point attempt was blocked and the score stood 14-6.

After a third Harrison touchdown, Bley hauled in a second touchdown pass from Meiners. This time is was an 11 yard play at the 7:17 mark in the fourth quarter.
