Bird Count

The local Audubon Christmas Bird Count hosted by Michaela Farm and the Oldenburg Franciscan Center is Dec. 31, 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., the farm’s brick barn, Oldenburg. Persons should register by Dec. 28 at 933-6437 to be included in the lunch reservation.

HollywoodNights

“Hollywood Nights,” an over-21 New Year’s Eve dance, will be held Dec. 31, 8 p.m., Klee Hall, St. Mary’s. Dress as a favorite actor/actress. Cost: $10. Bring your own beverages.

Stillboard/Trap Shoot

There will be a stillboard and trap shoot Jan. 1, 11 a.m., Tri-Township Conservation Club, Oldenburg.  Prizes: meat and money.

Swearing In

Newly elected city of Batesville officials will be sworn into office Jan. 1, noon, Memorial Building Council Chambers.

The Daughters of Isabella will meet Jan. 2, 7 p.m., Batesville Knights of Columbus Hall.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 3

WWII Discussion Group

The World War II discussion group will meet Jan. 3, 10 a.m., Batesville Memorial Public Library. The discussion will center on the years preceding the Pearl Harbor attack. World War II veterans are encouraged to attend. Info: Jerry Bennett, 812-212-9204.

Knights of St. John

The Batesville Knights of St. John Commandery No. 243 will meet at the Knights home Jan. 3, 7:30 p.m. The 2012 dues are payable then.

La Leche League
